The candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Engr. Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke has expressed profound gratitude to the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, party leaders and members across the constituency for supporting his emergence as the party’s flag bearer.
In a statement released on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Nwoke, who described the primary elections process as peaceful and transparent, assured that the confidence reposed in him would not be taken lightly.
To the Governor, he said, “Your leadership and commitment to building a united Labour Party in Abia State created the atmosphere for a free and fair primary. The confidence you have shown in me will remain a guiding light.”
The LP candidate said he would honour the support given to him with hardwork, accessibility, and accountability.
“This is only the beginning. With your continued support and prayers, we will move from primaries to victory, and from victory to results for our people”, he stated.
