A popular entrepreneur based in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, Chief Lazarus Enwereuzor, has lauded the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Abia State University, Uturu, Prof. Onyemachi Ogbulu for his outstanding performances while he was in office.
In a statement dated Monday, November 4, 2024, Enwereuzor, said Ogbulu made very giant strides that improved the academic standard and learning environment of the Abia State University.
He said he was impressed with the deliberate efforts made by Ogbulu to promote learning in Abia State, particularly in Ukwa East, Ukwa West and Ugwunagbo Local Government Areas, adding that the good works of the former VC would definitely outlive his generation.
“It is my earnest wish that Prof. Maxwell Onyemachi Ogbulu succeeds, as it is characteristic of him, in any other venture that he decides to try his hands on.”, the statement added.
Enwereuzor, who is the Chairman of Lenzor Hotels Limited in Ukwa West Local Government Area, also congratulated Associate Professor Onwubiko Dike on his recent appointment as a member of the Governing Council of the Abia State University, Uturu, by the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti.
Enwereuzo described the appointment of Onwubiko Dike as well deserved and a testament to the fact that hard-work, resilience and dexterity would always pay off at the appropriate time.
He further said he was not surprised with Dike’s appointment, as according to him, the Associate Professor had spent a large chunk of his time in the academia.
According to the statement, the recognition of the contributions of Onwubiko Dike to the society speaks to the fact that the State Governor believes in merit, and making remarkable changes in Abia State.
Enwereuzor urged Prof. Dike to bring his academic exposure and other experiences to bear positively on the administration of the Abia State University.
Onwubiko Dike is an Associate Professor of Marketing and Director of Entrepreneurship Studies at the Rhema University, Nigeria located in Aba, Abia State. He is also a member of the Governing Council of the University.
