Former Commissioner for Economic Development in Akwa Ibom State and a Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced the appointment of veteran journalist, Mr. Willie Etim Willie, as the Director of Communications and Strategy for his Campaign Organisation.
The Campaign that is running on the “One with God” mantra is expected to x-ray the fine qualities and achievements of Mr. Okon, who was an accomplished banker before taking up appointment as Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State, and project him as the best governorship candidate for the people of Akwa Ibom.
In the letter personally signed by Okon, appointing Etim as Director of Communications, he noted that Etim is a thorough-bred and multi-talented media professional with speciality in Journalism, Marketing Communications, Public Relations and Branding.
Etim has more than 25 years cognate experience covering mainstream media and corporate Communications practice, having worked in various capacities as reporter, editor and public relations executive.
The media consultant is currently writing his PhD dissertation in Integrated Marketing Communications at the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
He holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marketing from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specialisation in Marketing from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Management from the University of Calabar, Cross River State.
Etim also holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.
