Jubilation In Abia Community As Law Professor Embarks On Humanitarian Services

The joy in the hearts of people in the Owo Ala Asa Community of Abia State was palpable last week, as the Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Nigeria, UNN, Enugu Campus and professor of Law, Mrs Edith Nwosu embarked on humanitarian services ranging from free medical services to distribution of wrappers to widows.

Indigenes of nearby communities trooped out to partake from the widely publicised programmes.

The events which were part of the activities to mark the 60th birthday anniversary of the professor were aimed at improving the quality of life of the people of the Community.

Prof. Mrs Edith Nwosu, who made a first class at the Nigerian Law School Bar Examinations in 1993, also used the opportunity to organise an evangelical crusade to minister to the spiritual needs of the people of Community.

Nwosu, who is known to be an advocate of the active participation of Nigerian women in politics, has been into the empowerment of people in her community for some years.
