The member representing the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chris Nkwonta, has urged his supporters to continue to remain committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC), and work towards the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
Nkwonta, who made the call during an enlarged meeting of his supporters at his country home in Akwete, Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, also urged them to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to a publication made on Saturday, October 24, 2026, by the Legislative Aide to Hon. Chris Nkwonta, the Federal Lawmaker appealed to his supporters to remain resolute and unwavering in their support, stressing that he would explore every available legal means to reclaim the APC ticket for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He encouraged his supporters to continue to propagate the ideals of the APC and intensify efforts towards expanding the party’s membership, adding that they should not be discouraged or disheartened by current developments, as there would be light at the end of the tunnel.
He, also, emphasised the importance of obtaining and safeguarding their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as essential tools for exercising their constitutional right to vote during elections.
The lawmaker further advised his supporters to work diligently for the two APC House of Assembly candidates in Ukwa East and Ukwa West.
