Ukwa West APC Stakeholders Reject Publication Against NDDC Board Member, Eruba Dimgba

Ukwa West APC stakeholders in Abia State have dissociated themselves from recent publications attacking the member representing Abia State on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Board, Dr. Eruba Dimgba, describing the publications as unwarranted, untenable, misleading, malicious and unacceptable.

The Ukwa West All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders made their position known during a crucial meeting held on Monday at the Ukwa West APC Secretariat in Obehie, Asa, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.

The development followed a recent rally by a group of persons who identified themselves as Ukwa West APC stakeholders and called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to announce Mr. Onyedikachi Enyeribe Nwankwo as the NDDC Commissioner representing Abia State.

However, the APC stakeholders at Monday’s meeting said they did not identify with the publication or campaign against Dimgba.

According to them, the social media publications were made by some ill-informed APC members whose actions were allegedly aimed at casting aspersions on the integrity, competence and performance of the Abia State representative on the NDDC Board.

In a 10-point communique issued at the end of the meeting, the stakeholders expressed satisfaction with what they described as the “relentless efforts” of Dimgba in attracting NDDC projects to Ukwa West in accordance with the state’s allocation.

The communique partly reads:

“APC Stakeholders in Ukwa West are unarguably loyal and committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and are putting every democratic measure in place to make sure his re-election will be achieved seamlessly.

“In the same vein, APC Stakeholders in Ukwa West are working assiduously to guarantee an overall electoral success of the Party from top to bottom in the 2027 general election.

“APC Stakeholders in Ukwa West strongly believe that the present period calls for dedication of members to strategise on how best to win the forthcoming general election, and not to be distracted by selfish considerations of political appointments, even to Statutory Board, which tenure is still running.”

The stakeholders further stated that the APC in Ukwa West remained committed to the party’s electoral objectives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

They urged party members and other stakeholders not to allow themselves to be distracted by individuals they described as people who may not have the best interests of the party at heart.
