The Commissioner representing Abia State on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Eruba Dimgba, PhD, and former Chairman of the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), Hon. Emeka Stanley, have been inaugurated as Chairman and Alternate Chairman, respectively, of the Advisory Board of the Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu Campaign Council.
Nwogu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, unveiled the campaign council ahead of the forthcoming elections on Saturday at his country home in Owaza, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.
Other appointments include the former Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Tony Mezie Nwubani, as Director-General; former Ukwa East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ijeoma Azunna, as Deputy Director-General; and former Sole Administrator of ASOPADEC, Elder Henry Chilaka, as Secretary of the campaign council.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu Campaign Media Team on November 2, 2026, the APC candidate, Nwogu charged members of the campaign council to work towards securing victory for the APC in all the five elective positions during the 2027 general elections.
He advised against complacency and urged the newly inaugurated officers to take their responsibilities seriously by ensuring that the party records victory in their respective polling units.
Nwogu also assured the campaign council members of adequate logistical support, disclosing that Toyota Sienna vehicles had been provided to facilitate their movements and were ready for collection.
The APC State Chairman, represented by the State Secretary, Hon. Chidi Avajah, formally inaugurated the campaign council and urged members to be worthy ambassadors of the party. He stressed that the success of the APC would be beneficial to all party members and called for commitment towards achieving electoral victory.
Similarly, the Ukwa West APC leader and NDDC Commissioner, Dimgba, urged party members to put aside personal grievances and political differences in the interest of the party. He called for unity among APC faithful in Ukwa East and Ukwa West, urging them to work collectively to deliver all APC candidates, from the presidential to state and legislative elections.
In his acceptance speech, the newly appointed Director-General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Tony Mezie Nwubani, assured party leaders that the council would deliver on its mandate. He pledged that all members would work together to secure victory for Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Comrade Benedict Godson was appointed Secretary of the Advisory Board, while Chief Dominic Oforji was named Alternate Secretary.
Other members of the Advisory Board include Chief Esiaba Iwezor, Mr Enyinna Success, Chiwuike Inglish Ekeke, Prince Henry Amadi, Chief G.I. Akara, High Chief Emmanuel Gally, Chief Chisom Henry Nwachukwu and Elder Gideon Chilaka.
All APC ward chairmen in Ukwa East and Ukwa West are also members of the Advisory Board.
Meanwhile, Chief Marc Wabara and Sir Don Ubani were appointed patrons of the Campaign Council.
