Renowned Forensic Expert and philanthropist, Erelu Dr. Pearl Chidinma Ogbulu, on Wednesday commenced a nationwide forensic and investigative capacity-building training programme for officers of the Nigeria Police Force in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
The specialised training programme, which targets police personnel across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, is aimed at strengthening forensic intelligence, enhancing investigative techniques, and improving fraud prevention mechanisms within the Nigeria Police Force.
Speaking during the opening ceremony in Umuahia, Ogbulu stated that the initiative was designed to deepen investigative exposure among police officers while promoting intelligence-led policing and modern forensic practices in line with global standards.
She commended the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, for what she described as his visionary leadership, progressive reforms, and unwavering commitment to transforming policing standards in Nigeria.
According to her, the Inspector-General’s focus on professionalism, accountability, intelligence-driven investigations, and international best practices continues to redefine the future of policing in the country.
Ogbulu also expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, Isa Danladi, for his support in facilitating the training programme within a short period.
“Your commitment to operational excellence and officer development is highly commendable,” she said.
