The Asa Development Union, ADU, the apex socio-cultural organisation in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, has said that there were prospects of development in Ukwa West under the leadership of Governor Dr. Alex Otti.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Secretary of the Union, Sir Boniface Nwaigwe, disclosed that the Otti led government had commenced work on their Civic Centre located at Obehie, which according to him, was abandoned.
He also revealed that the investors in a modular refinery project to be built in the Abia Industrial Innovation Park, AIIP, at Ukwa West have commenced operations, adding that information available to his Union was that the project would be completed before the end of the year, 2024.
The Secretary General was full of praises for Gov Otti for the prompt responses he has been giving to correspondences from the Union, stressing that the Governor had shown commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Ukwa West.
The statement further reads:
