When any man is more stupidly vain and outrageously egotistic than his fellows, he will hide his hideousness in humanitarianism – George Moore
For anyone that knows you, Sir Don Ubani, writing with the sole intent to ridicule Dr. Alex Otti has gone past a frolic for you. Interestingly, at your age, you tend to reach your orgasmic ecstasy faster doing just that than in natural spousal copulation. And the fact is, you are quite within your rights as usual. And it wouldn’t have been a bother had you not gone beyond the healthy boundaries to try to drag Nd’Asa into your cesspool of bigotry and execration.
That you served in successive administrations under PDP in Abia State is trite knowledge that doesn’t require any further mention. And that Nd’Asa got the short end of the stick in all those administrations you served is equally too banal to continue to state.
In each of the governments you served and almost always, in all their policy formulation, pronouncement and implementation, the interests of Nd’Asa were the least considered factors in any equation and that didn’t bother you; neither did you raise any voice in dissent.
It is a surprise only to the undiscerning how you came about this phantom love for Nde Asa. Truth is, your rehashed and feeble attempt at championing the interests of Asa lately is only self-serving and disingenuous. You have never been and cannot be a champion for any worthy cause in Asa. Except you do not know who a real champion is. Champions fight and win for others. Not sometimes, or when it is politically expedient. They fight at all times. And their efforts are shorn of all forms of self-glorification.
Sadly, this is not the case with you, Sir. Yours is purely the case of a bird trying to make a soft nest for her own eggs. Had not your younger brother, Stanford Nnadozie Ubani, a Director in the State Civil Service been directly involved, you would have maintained your characteristic silence. I dare you to refute or deny this fact Sir.
Your deftness in spinning a web of hatred and deceit and trying to lure unsuspecting people into it is very reprehensible and condemnable. I would kindly advise you pick your fight with Alex Otti and do it on your own terms. Do not use Nd’Asa as cannon fodders.
In your letter, you were obnoxiously conceited to admit that your resentment for Alex Otti has always been on the basis of information others fed you about him. At your level, that you could seethe with such hatred for someone on the basis of what others said about him, and not from experiential knowledge says much of your inner makeup and constitution.
As for your younger brother, Stanford Ubani, he is very undeserving of the position of a Permanent Secretary under this present government. And I say this with freedom from all forms of hypocrisy. He is everything a loyal and conscientious civil servant should not be.
It is even more shameful that you as Big Brother putting wind in his sail, egged him on as he glibly violated the cardinal principles of professionalism, anonymity, impartiality, political neutrality, discipline and patriotism that govern the civil service and to which he swore to uphold. By so doing, he is proven to be grossly deficient in character that any holder of the office of the permanent secretary embodies or exemplifies.
As a matter of fact, your graphic description of his activities in the service leaves no one in doubt that your brother is a mole, a double agent, working for the opposition party on the one hand and undermining the government he is supposedly serving on the other. As your spy, he undergoes regular debriefing on the activities of the government and feeds you and your hordes of misguided opposition with classified but heavily distorted government information.
Now that his cover has been blown, (that is, if he had enough sense to put up one) you are only speculating that someone is going to waste their energy to make him pay retribution? Na liĂ©! Nobody has your brother’s time, Oga. Let him continue on his self-destruct voyage.
Finally, your allegation that the Governor has arranged to kill your brother, and possibly eliminate you as well because of your ‘political leanings’ is lame, laughable and delusional. That you are not a guest of the State Security Service as we speak is proof positive nobody in this government takes you and your vituperation serious; and you are not worth the attention. Just for the asking, what will be the Governor’s motive or gain for killing you and your brother? How is your existence in this whole space a threat to his peace and well-being? Uh??
Perhaps, it is time your exaggerated sense of self-worth became a highload course of study in the university. I don’t think anything can be more gratifying to _Oke Amadi Nd’Asa_ than that.
