In a bid to encourage the Anambra State football team, The Solution FC, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, met with the players to show his support and solidarity as he counsels them about the importance of teamwork and dedication.
The Governor met with the team at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia
Governor Soludo praised their efforts so far and reminded them of the challenges that lay ahead.
“I’m incredibly proud of all that you’ve achieved so far,” he said.
“You represent our state in the best possible way, and I know that you have what it takes to succeed in the games.” Governor Soludo further said
The Governor said even though his administration is yet to officially unveil the team, the importance of teamwork and how each player’s contributions to the team’s progress remains vital to the overall success of the team.
He stressed the need for the players and back staff to continously work hard, stay focused, and remain committed to the overall objectives of the team. He narrated his love for the game of football as a youngster from childhood.
The governor also took the opportunity to discuss important issues related to sports and programmes in the state, highlighted initiatives aimed at increasing participation in sports and promoting fitness among young people.
Emmanuel Daniel, the Team Coach, said the entire team was thrilled to have the governor’s support.
“This meeting was a real morale boost for us. It’s great to have the governor on our side, and we feel motivated to always put up our best in all the games.”
The meeting ended with the governor offering his best wishes to the team and expressing his firm belief in their abilities.
The team was led to the visit by the Chairman of Anambra State Sports Commission, Mr. Patrick-Estate Onyedum.
Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barr. Joachin Anetoh, Chief Protocol officer, Hon Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour), including some of the team’s management were also present when the Governor received the team.
