Nursing Science students of Rhema University, Nigeria have posted excellent results in the just concluded Basic Nursing Examinations conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
In the recently released results, thirty-two of the thirty-three candidates who sat for the exams passed while one posted a referral in one course.
Speaking on the results, Rhema University Nigeria Vice Chancellor, Professor Ogbonnaya Onwudike commended the students “for making the university proud”. He stressed the need for continual hard work as there are still more hurdles to cross in their journey to becoming qualified nurses and midwives stressing that the university will stop at nothing to produce quality personnel for the global marketplace.
The Head of the Department of Nursing Science, Dr. Florence Udoinyang while commending the students for posting excellent results, lauded the University for creating the enabling environment for students to thrive.
“Though there is still more work to be done, my colleagues and I will continue to do our best to ensure that our students continually turn out well in both internal and external exams, and to become world-class graduates of nursing and midwifery”.
This batch of thirty-three is the first batch of nursing science students of Rhema University Nigeria to sit for the professional Nursing and Midwifery Council exams, and this comes on the heels of the recent full accreditation granted to our Nursing Science Department by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Rhema University Nigeria is a faith-based university poised to equip humanity for excellence by applying the head and heart connection philosophy of education.
It opened its doors to the first set of students in the 2009/2010 academic year, and by this 2023/2024 academic session will be having its 14th Matriculation Ceremony.
