The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu has said principals of secondary schools will be made to live inside school premises as a way of improving the standard of education in Abia State if the party is elected into power.
Ononogbu, who disclosed this during an interactive session with the Magic FM, Aba, on Saturday, said the vision of the governorship candidate of the party in Abia State, High Chief Ikechi Emenike was to rescue and develop Abia State.
He said that it was the intention of an APC led government to reduce wastages and reduce corruption in the State, and plough the money that would be saved therefrom into infrastructural development, stressing that Abia should join the league of other fast-developing States in the South East as Ebonyi, Anambra and Imo States.
The APC Chairman stated that it was only its governorship candidate that had never been part of the maladministration in Abia, adding that most of the other candidates have played one major role or the other in the mess that the State has found itself.
On the issue of the divisions in the party in the State, Dr. Ononogbu said there was hardly any political party in the State without one challenge or the other, pointing out that all the Court cases that the party has had to deal with had only succeeded in strengthening it, and making it more resolved to take over the reins of power in the State.
