Rhema University, Nigeria located in the bustling commercial city of Aba, Abia State has appointed Mr. Earl Ugochukwu Okezie as its first-ever Public Relations Officer to manage her communication and public relations department.
In this capacity, Earl is saddled with the task of devising strategies and programmes aimed at creating a favourable image of the university in the minds of its internal and external public, as well as cultivating relationships with the media and its host community. He also has the responsibility for planning, activating, and managing the university’s events such as matriculation/ convocation ceremonies, inaugural lectures, inter-faculty lectures, special/occasional lectures and alumni events.
Earl is a graduate of Mass Communication with majors in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko in Anambra State, Nigeria.
Prior to his appointment, he had worked as an online editor for a couple of online news outlets, content writer, and freelance editor/proofreader helping tons of writers/authors, website/bloggers, and publishers, as well as non-governmental and faith-based organisations, to publish error-free contents. He was once a correspondent/news editor at Grace FM radio and Confluence Television – both in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria.
Rhema University Nigeria was founded by Brother Emma Okorie of Living Word Ministries, and the Proprietor Living Word Academy – a group of primary and secondary schools spread across Nigeria and the West African Sub-region is located in the bustling commercial city of Aba, Abia State Nigeria.
Currently, it runs over 15 courses and programmes across four colleges – College of Basic and Applied Sciences, College of Medicine and Health Sciences and College of Management and Applied Sciences, and in the current academic year, opened its School of Postgraduate Studies.
It opened its doors to the first intakes in the 2010/2011 academic year.
