The Ukwa East/Ukwa West House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 general elections has congratulated the wife of the Executive Chairman of Ukwa West Local Government Area, Deaconess Orjiugo Okey Kanu on her birthday.
In a statement on Friday, Okpokiri described Deaconess Kanu as a dedicated wife who has demonstrated great love and care for the people she has been married to for many years.
He noted with satisfaction that the wife of the Executive Chairman has positively redefined the office of the first lady of the local government through her unique projects and programmes in the Ukwa West Local Government Area.
Okpokiri said:
“I have followed keenly the activities of Deaconess Orjiugo Okey Kanu, the wife of our brother, since she became the first lady of the Local Government and have every cause to believe that she has a soft heart, a heart of philanthropy and creativity needed for the growth and development of Ukwa land’.
The APC candidate wished her more years in excellent health in the land of the living, and encouraged her to continue with the good works she has been known for, stressing that God, who is the greatest rewarder would continue to uplift her to more unaccomplished heights.
