The Assistant Secretary of the Abia State All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr. Sterling Chinwendu Uruakpa, has congratulated High Chief Ikechi Emenike on his emergence as the Governorship flag bearer of the party in the 2023 general elections.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Uruakpa, who also is a member of the Board of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, noted with satisfaction that the process that produced Emenike was not only free and fair, but credible and transparent.
He commended Abia APC voters for electing Emenike, who he described as a man with the required capacity to address the myriad of challenges facing Abia State.
Uruakpa said the emergence of Emenike had already brought joy to the people of the State, adding that he was confident that the majority of Abians would support Emenike during the 2023 election.
He called on all well meaning sons, daughters and residents of Abia State to join hands with Emenike to liberate the State from the stranglehold of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Uruakpa appealed to the other aspirants that lost the governorship ticket of the party to embrace the decision of the voters, stressing that only a united APC can win elections in Abia State.
