The member representing Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Uzoma Nkem Abonta, has assured that the dividends of democracy would be evenly distributed in his constituency.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to him by a group known as the Asa Brothers Forum on Saturday, Abonta stated that it has remained his commitment to ensure that the lives of his constituents were affected positively.
Earlier in his speech, Hon. Engr. Ogbonna Nnamdi, appealed to the Federal Lawmaker to intervene in the challenge of the Ukwa West Local Government Area as it affects electricity supply, adding that it noted with satisfaction the promise of the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to assist Ukwa East, its sister Local Government Area to fix electricity.
The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Forum, Hon. Richard Nwankwo, who expressed appreciation to the Federal House member for his uprightness and astuteness, requested for more empowerment for the Asa Brothers.
Also speaking, the women leader of the Forum, Comrade Adiele Edith Pamela, praised Hon. Abonta for including women in all his empowerment programmes and encouraged them to participate in leadership positions.
She disclosed that the Asa Brothers Forum stands for Equity, Justice and Fairless.
