The Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has disclosed that the assistance he gave to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2003 was part of what caused his problem with former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Speaking on Silverbird Television on Friday, Kalu said, “In 2003 when Tinubu was seeking re-election and I saw that he was lagging behind, I assisted him and it’s part of what caused my problem with former President Obasanjo.”
He said he could not quarel with Tinubu because of politics, adding that he might have a different idea from Tinubu on how to do things.
Kalu, who has declared his interest to contest for Presidency in 2023, said, “All I know is that if we meet at Eagle Square, I will give a very good account of myself.”
