As part of his contributions to the growth, development and advancement of female football in Nigeria and in fulfillment of his promises based on their victorious exploits, Mr.Goodfaith Etuemena has donated sets of foreign jerseys to Imo Angels Football Club of Owerri and availed them an access to free usage of his multi million Naira Sports facilities in his sporting complex.
Etuemena popularly known as Bash and one time General Manager of Heartland FC, Owerri disclosed this while having an evening sit out with the management, technical crew and players of the club at his multi million Naira Bashlyks Sports House and Events, New Owerri.
According to him ” as a man naturally in love to sports especially football, early in the year and before the Covid-19, I promised to kit the club with new Jerseys now it has been fulfilled and am equally offering you free my sporting complex for all your training needs as part of my improved welfare packages to the team”
Responding, Mr Chuks Dike, the General Manager of Imo Angel FC who represented the club owner, Princess Jenny Anusime expressed gratitude to the donor for being charitable and philanthropic on things effecting players.
Dike who described Etuemena as a mentor and role model lamented on the challenges facing the club, especially finances while noting that the sporting facilities which includes Olympic sized swimming pool, sentatic training pitch, gym etc will ease their future trainings.
He commended the football administrator and sponsor for fulfilling his promises noting that football as a sport is expensive to run moreso female football.
The General Manager also applauded the team for their determination to always win and understanding the plights of the proprietress and management as people who are not money bags.
Dike further canvassed the need for camping house and improved welfare packages for the girls as a strategic means of retaining their services.
In her vote of thanks, Miss Chiamaka Agu also expressed profound gratitude to Etuemena for his passion and labour of love in football development in Nigeria.
Agu reiterated the fact that it’s not easy to handle girls and solicited for an improved welfare so as to boast their morals.
