The second term bid of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, received a major boost on Tuesday, as the former elected councillors of Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State pledged total support for him.
In a communique jointly signed by the Local Government Coordinator, Hon. Augustine Nwarie, Secretary, Hon. Ephy Ike Nwachukwu, member of the State Executive Committee, Hon. Chief Chikere Chidi and Eze Elect, Hon. Ikechukwu Eche, after their meeting, the group unanimously agreed to give Dr. Alex Otti their total support in 2027.
The communique reads in part:
“Following the superlative performance of the pragmatic Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR,
“Following the unexpected payment of long forgotten entitlements of former elected councillors from 1999 – 2022 and every other thing he has done to this State,
“We hereby affirm our unalloyed support to Governor Alex Otti, OFR, and pledge our total commitment to his re-election bid in 2027 Irrespective of party affiliation.”
