Tragedy has struck the family of Deacon Steve Adindu Nwankwo, a prominent and staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, following the death of his wife, Mrs. Nwadi Adindu Nwankwo.
Mrs. Nwankwo passed away on Tuesday at the Sterling Hospital, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, after a brief illness. Her death has thrown the Nwankwo family, friends, and associates into deep mourning.
The deceased, who was married to Deacon Steve Adindu Nwankwo for 28 years, hailed from Umuorie, Asa, in Ukwa West LGA of Abia State. She was a devoted Christian and an ardent member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Umukalu Chapter.
In an official statement, Deacon Nwankwo described the passing of his wife as a huge and devastating shock, noting that it has permanently altered the course of his life. He stated that only God could console him in this painful moment, adding that he feels empty following the loss of the wife of his youth.
Deacon Nwankwo, who has been a committed member of the APC since 2015, expressed profound gratitude to his brothers, in-laws, friends, and well-wishers who stood by him and his family during the period leading up to the sudden death of his wife.
