Former APC Candidate Nnadozie Okpokiri Hosts Ward Meeting, As Party Leaders Urge Greater Commitment

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri, on Monday, hosted a strategic meeting of the Ozaa Ukwu Ward at his country home in Owo Ala, Ukwa West Local Government Area, Abia State.

The meeting, aimed at strengthening grassroots party engagement and unity, drew APC stakeholders from across the ward.

Hon. Mezie Nwubani, the Ward Leader, urged party members to demonstrate greater dedication and consistency by attending all scheduled meetings. He also emphasized the importance of timely and proper dissemination of information ahead of such gatherings.

In his remarks, Hon. Ezedinachi Kanu, APC Leader for the Ozaa Zone, commended party leaders and loyalists who have continued to make sacrifices to grow the party’s membership and influence at the grassroots level.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Levi Dike, Chairman of Ozaa Ukwu APC, expressed appreciation to attendees and cautioned against unilateral postponement of meetings by individual villages, stressing the need for uniformity and discipline within the party.

Represented by Chief Ben Azuogu Emeruwa, Barrister Okpokiri lamented the low turnout and indifferent attitude of some members during party activities. He reminded them that active participation is a key factor in leadership considerations within the APC.

A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of ward activity reports by representatives from various Ozaa Ukwu villages, showcasing ongoing efforts and challenges at the grassroots.

Notable attendees included; Chief Okey Kanu, former Executive Chairman of Ukwa West LGA, Chief Emeka Nwocha (Emetumba), Mr. Eze Oguibe, Chief Akobueze Elendu, Barrister Ndukaku Macaulay and Mr. Celestine Chukwunonye Ogugua.
