Popular Ukwa musician widely known as Tenpenny, has endorsed Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tenpenny announced his support for Nwogu in a campaign song highlighting the political achievements of the APC candidate during his previous public service engagements. In the song, the Ukwa-born singer highlighted Nwogu’s contributions to employment generation and educational development, particularly his provision of employment opportunities for people of Ukwa and scholarships for students to study in Nigeria and overseas.
The musician, who has become a household name in Ukwa following the release of his popular album, _Abụ m oye Asa,_ also used the song to express his support for the APC and Nwogu’s ambition to represent the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Tenpenny’s endorsement has reportedly generated conversations among youths and other residents across the constituency, adding a musical dimension to political activities in the Ukwa Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
