The Abia State Ministry of Environment in conjunction with the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation, office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Multi-lateral Donor Agencies, the International Centre for Energy Environment and Development (ICEED) and the Heinrich Boll Foundation, will on Tuesday, 29 and Wednesday September 30, 2026 hold a two-day workshop on Sustainable Market-Driven Clean Cooking Industry In Abia State.
According to an announcement signed by the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Philemon Asonye Ogbonna, the event, which will hold at the Ogbonnaya Onu Auditorium at the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, is designed to advance clean cooking solutions in Abia State, and support the implementation of the Abia State Clean Cooking Plan launched in February 2026.
The workshop is also aimed at transitioning the people of Abia State to clean cooking, creating green jobs and building sustainable clean-cooking businesses.
