The General Manager of Abia State oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) Venerable Dr. Joshua Onyeike has assured to partner with the ruling Labour Party in the State in its mission to galvanize support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti in government.
Dr. Onyeike who stated this in his office during a courtesy visit by the State Working Committee of Labour Party said the agency as directed by the State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR has intervened on a lot of projects aimed at impacting positively on lives of the people of the oil producing communities and outlined some of the Commission’s intervention activities to include the provision of electricity in Ukwa West LGA, construction of Asa Civic Center, Rehabilitation of Markets in Umuajuoha, Owaza and Obokwe, Reconstruction of Umuokomiri roads, water boreholes, Scholarships to indigent students, empowerment of women, among others.
The ASOPADEC General Manager describes the State Governor, Dr. Otti as God sent to Abia State, applauded him for the great achievements he has made in governing the State while urging the Labour Party Leaders to work assiduously in ensuring victory for the party come 2027.
Earlier in his speech, the Leader of the team and Abia Central Vice Chairman of the Party, Chief Kingsley Nwaobilor said they came to seek support of the General Manager as a stakeholder of the party to assist the Party Leadership in its mission of sensitizing the people on the need to sustain their support to the State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti for his good governance and commended the General Manager, Dr Onyeike for embarking on many laudable developmental projects in line with the visions of the present administration.
Also speaking, the State Treasurer of the Party, Mrs Ngozi Anyanwu said the party needs support of all the Stakeholders in the State for the reelection of the state Governor in continuation of his good works.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Elvis Nwagbara thanked the General Manager for finding time to attend to the team and thanked the Governor for the appointment of Dr. Onyeike to head the Commission affirming that the Commission has embarked on many visible and impactful projects.
