The Asa Development Union, ADU, has congratulated former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Emeka Wogu, on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the South East Development Commission, SEDC.

ADU is the apex socio-cultural organisation in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.

In a congratulatory letter signed by its President General, Elder Goodluck Nwanneakolam Nwuju and Secretary General, Sir Boniface Uchenna Nwaigwe, dated December 9, 2024, the Union expressed profound gratitude to God that Wogu was found worthy to be the Board Chairman of the new Commission.

The ADU noted that the former Minister was a round peg in a round hole considering that experience, capacity and integrity must have been considered in the selection of a Chairman for the SEDC.

The Union also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu for making the dream of the establishment of SEDC a reality, and pledged the support and loyalty of the entire people of Asa to the administration of President Tinubu and the leadership of the SEDC, as currently constituted.
