There was pandemonium at the Obehie Magistrate Court, in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, on Friday, as the ceiling of the building housing the Court collapsed while Court was in session.
A eye witness, who spoke with Newsportal on phone, said that even though there were no casualties, the Court has been in a dilapidated situation for many years.
According to the eye witness, the Court was forced to rise suddenly, and resumed sitting after a while because of the resilience of the presiding Magistrate, His Worship, Nnenna Nwogwugwu.
“Despite the horrifying scenario, the Magistrate continued with the day’s proceedings, and treated all the matters in the Cause list”, the witness said.
