Thirteen distinguished professionals drawn from different academic backgrounds are expected to speak at a Summit being organised by the Asa Development Union, ADU, the apex sociocultural organisation in the Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.
The Summit themed, “Asa Growth and Development Agenda: Making the Right Choices for Gainful Impacts”, which will be chaired by a Port Harcourt based Logistics expert, Rotarian Nnanna Innocent Ogbuji, intends to attract prominent sons, wives and daughters of Asa land across the globe.
According to a publication released by the Secretary General of ADU/Secretary of Planning Committee of the Summit, the keynote speech will be delivered by former Secretary to the Abia State Government, Pastor Ralph Egbu, who is also the Chairman of the Sub-Committee for the planning of Asa Day that comes up December 26, 2024.
Speakers during the Summit slated for November 16, 2024, are the General Manager of the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ASOPADEC, Ven. Dr. Joshua Onyeike, Proprietor, Chyvik Model Schools, Elder Dr. Emmanuel Chibuike Kanu, Port Harcourt based Engineer, Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke, Prominent Entrepreneur, Chief Quentin Chinyiriuwa Nhiaraonye, former National Secretary, Nigerian Institution of Surveyors, Chief Innocent Egbu, Law Lecturer, Abia State University, Chief Sir Dr. Samuel E. C. Nwosu and a Senior Staff of The Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, Port Harcourt, Dr. Magnus Kanu,
Others are; former Abia State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Sir Don Ubani, WHO Consultant, Mr. Oliver Nwuju, former Chairman, ASOPADEC, Barrister Sam Nwogu, Dr. Okebugwu Dan Nwankwo and Pastor Innocent Adiele.
The planned Summit, which is already generating interest among critical stakeholders of the Ukwa West project, is also expected to articulate and produce a blueprint for the overall growth and development of Asa land.
