Trouble in Abia Labour Party, LP, seems to be escalating, as a newly appointed member of the Caretaker Committee, Apostle Innocent Adiele, has pulled out of the Committee.

It should be recalled that the National Working Committee of the LP, had recently in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, signed by its National Chairman, Julius Abure and National Secretary, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, dissolved the Abia State Working Committee, and appointed a new Caretaker/State Working Committee to pilot the affairs of the party in the State.

Adiele, in a statement dated October 19, 2024, and made available to Newsportal, said he was never interested in working as a member of the Abia State LP Caretaker Committee.

He cited “personal reasons”, as being behind his decision not to be part of the Caretaker Committee.

He, however, thanked the National Working Committee of LP for finding him fit for the job, and regretted any inconveniences his actions would cause the Committee.
