The Ukwa West District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Revered Dr. Eugene Okwuchi Nwosu, on Thursday, commended the Mayor of Ukwa Local Government Council, Mr. Newman Azu on his developmental strides in the local government area.
Nwosu, who paid a courtesy visit on the Mayor, praised Azu for his exceptional leadership, adding that significant infrastructural developments have been recorded in area since the Mayor assumed duties. He was particularly impressed with the massive renovations being carried out at Okeikpe, the Council headquarters.
The Clergyman said the resolutions of different conflicts in Ukwa West, as well as the partnership with the Inner Galaxy, a steel company operating in the area, as commendable.
Nwosu also commended Governor of Abia Star, Dr.Alex Chioma Otti for appointing Azu as Mayor, and prayed for God’s guidance for both the Governor, Mayor and his team.
In his response, Newman Azu expressed gratitude to the clergyman and his team for their kind words, stressing that he would continue to serve the people credutably.
