Deputy Speaker, House of Reps, Ben Kalu Mourns Death of Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, Describes Him As Astute Politician

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt.Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has said he was saddened to receive the death of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District and a stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ifeanyi Ubah.

Ubah was reported to have died in a London hospital, where he went for a surgery.

According to Kalu, the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a great businessman with remarkable achievements in media, sports, and the petroleum industry, an astute politician, and a leader with a strong commitment to community development and service, adding that his philanthropic contributions to his community, state, the Southeast, and Nigeria were profound.

“As a Senator and Chairman of the Committee on Petroleum Resources, Downstream, he made invaluable contributions to the parliament through his legislative activities, delivering the dividends of democracy to his constituents while serving our country with dedication. This is indeed a great loss, not just to the Southeast region but to the entire nation.’, he said.

The Deputy Speaker also extended his sincere commiseration to the immediate family of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, the people of the Anambra South Senatorial District, and the government of Anambra State.
