The Chairman of Newsportal Limited, Mr. ThankGod Ntaku, has congratulated Mr. Newman Azu on his nomination as the Ukwa West Local Government Area Transition Committee Chairman by the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Ntaku described the nomination as well thought out by the Governor, adding that Azu was eminently qualified to superintendent over the affairs of Ukwa West Local Government Council.
He urged the nominee to translate his passion for his people into practical growth and development of Ukwa West Local Government Area.
Ntaku said:
“I have had the opportunity of interacting with Mr. Newman Azu a good number of times, and I believe that he understands the challenges of his people. It will be a surprise if he does not perform his responsibilities in a way and manner that Ukwa West people would have cause to praise the State Governor for appointing him.”
While commending Otti for the appointment, he called on the Governor to continue in his avowed determination to give Abia State a purposeful leadership.
