Leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, on Wednesday visited the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu in his office at the National Assembly.
Writing in his Facebook page, Kalu said:
“Today, I received with utmost delight, esteemed leaders, elders, and stakeholders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) across our state, Abia, led by Sen. Chris Adighije and Sen. Nkechi Nwaogu on a courtesy visit to the office.
“It was a moment of great joy and shared unity as I welcomed prominent leaders some of whom have served at various levels of leadership.
“Honoured to be surrounded by people who genuinely share a common vision for the progress of our party not only in Abia State but also throughout the South East region and beyond.
“I am truly humbled by the immense support and belief in my abilities to deliver this leadership bestowed on me and indeed inspired to strive even harder to ensure that the party flourishes under my watch.
“Once again, I am grateful to everyone present for this visit. Today marked the beginning of a new era in our great party APC not only in Abia State but the entire South East region.
“I reaffirm my commitment to see that the growth and development of our state, region, and nation, Nigeria is not jeopardized. We shall discharge the call to service with utmost dedication.”
Among the APC leaders were; former Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike, former Minister of Labour, Dr. Emeka Nwogu, former Minister, Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, APC chieftain, Chief William Nwanguma, Abia South APC Senatorial candidate in the 2023 general elections, Dr. Mrs. Blessing Nwagba and Ukwa East/Ukwa West APC candidate in the 2023 election, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri.
