The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2023 elections, Barrister Nnadozie Okpokiri, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the nomination of Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Onyejeocha, who represented the Isiukwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency for three tenures, was among the 28 Ministerial nominees forwarded to the Senate by the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Thursday.
In a statement released on Friday, Okpokiri extolled the virtues of Onyejeocha, who he described as a focused and visionary politician.
He said the meteoric rise of Onyejeocha in Nigeria politics was an eloquent testimony of the fact that she has been able to combine effectively her undying optimism and determination to excel with the virtues of kindness, humility, and honesty.
Okpokiri, who prayed God to strengthen the Ministerial nominee, said he was convinced that Onyejeocha had the capacity, ability, and courage to make significant positive impacts on any Ministry assigned to her.
Okpokiri’s statement reads in part:
“I do not have any doubts in her ability to perform any roles assigned to her, considering the fact that she has been in government for a long time, and I believe strongly that her experience in the National Assembly as a law maker, and her knowledge of how the Executive operates, having been a Commissioner at the State level, would arm her sufficiently to perform optimally.”
