The Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is billed to deliver a Keynote address on Friday at Aba at the inauguration ceremony of the Transition Council constituted by Abia Governor-Elect, Dr. Alex Otti.
According to a statement released by the Media Adviser to Otti, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, the address by Dr. Okonjo-Iweala will be followed with the inauguration of the Council before the plenary session would commence.
Dr. Alex Otti who was declared winner and returned as the duly elected governor of Abia state after a convincing Victory at the 18th March governorship polls in Abia state, has made it clear that he would pay special attention to Aba by investing massively in infrastructure so as to rebuild the city and restore its lost glory in a manner it would become a choice destination for investors, business men and women and visitors alike.
Ekeoma said, Otti insists that Aba was very strategic in actualising economic resurgence in Abia in particular, and in the South East as a whole, hence his promise to dedicate an entire Ministry to the city.
“Otti’s decision to host his Transition Council’s inauguration and deliberations in Aba is a strategic move geared towards drawing the necessary attention to the Enyimba City”, the release added.
