Barely five days to the Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi has scheduled to visit Abia State tomorrow.
Obi, who has challenged the result of the last presidential election, had during his visit to Abia for his campaign in February stated that he would be in Abia again to campaign for the candidate of the LP in the State, Dr. Alex Otti whether he won or not.
According to a statement released by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Dr. Otti, on Monday, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma said Dr. Otti, as a mark of honour, had invited his supporters, LP leaders and members, well-wishers, friends, Stakeholders, Members of the Obedient Movement, Public and Civil Servants, Pensioners and Patriots, Traders and Artisans, Business men and women, Religious Leaders and members of different Religious Organisations, Students and Youths, People Living With Disabilities, Members of the Academia, Captains of Industry, and indeed, the general public to come out en mass to give a rousing welcome to the giant from the East.
The LP presidential candidate is expected to visit Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia State, Umuahia, and some select Local Government Areas, where he would have the opportunity to interact and thank Abians for the massive solidarity and support given to him and the National Assembly members-elect.
