The Ukwa West chapter of the Abia State All Progressives Congress, APC, is set to receive the governorship candidate of the party, High Chief Ikechi Emenike, who is due to visit the area on Sunday, the 19th of February, 2023, as part of his campaign tours of the local government areas in the State.
In a statement released Saturday, the Local Government Coordinator of the Ikechi/Gloria Campaign Council, Sir Rogers Nwachinyere expressed confidence in the ability of the APC governorship candidate to rescue and develop Abia State if he is voted into power.
He described High Chief Emenike as a man of integrity, who has proved his commitment towards the development of mankind and the society.
Nwachinyere, who noted that the people of Ukwa West have been marginalised for years, commended Emenike for picking Rev. Barr. Mrs. Gloria Akara of Ukwa as running mate, and urged the people of the area to give the governorship hopeful and his campaign team a rousing welcome.
While stating that all arrangements have been concluded to receive the Abia governorship candidate of the APC, Nwachinyere lauded his past accomplishments which have sufficiently prepared him for governance.
