The Leader of the Ipu West Ward of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Philemon Asonye Ogbonna on Tuesday at the country home of the Ward Chairman, Elder Samuel Nwoko Mark in Owaza in the Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State explained in details the manifesto of the Abia State governorship candidate of the LP, Dr. Alex Otti to the members of the party.
He said that it was very necessary for all members of the party to understand the manifesto of their governorship candidate so that they would be equipped to disseminate the message of hope to the electorate.
Ogbonna stated that of all the lofty programmes of Otti, it was important for the members to know that the LP governorship hopeful intends to make sure that Abia realises 10 billion naira as internally generated revenue, IGR, light rail system that runs from Ukwa through Aba, Umuahia, Bende, Ohafia to Arochukwu, marketing Boards to handle farmers produce, a world-class entertainment village at Nsulu, and has a Ministry of Aba dedicated to the development of the commercial nerve centre of the State.
“The relocation of the head office of the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ASOPADEC, to Ukwa West and rehabilitation of Ogwe Golden Farms are also part of the programmes of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti”, he added.
Ogbonna, therefore, urged the members of the party to keep their permanent voters cards, PVCs, ready, adding that it is the only tool they would need to bring about the kind of government they want.
Speaking, the candidate of the party for the Ukwa West State Constituency, Elder Anselm Eletuo and the the Campaign Coordinator of Dr. Alex Otti in Ukwa West, Hon. Anele Azuh advised the members to be getting ready for the party’s Ward to Ward tour that would take-off very soon.
