The governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 general elections, Dr. Alex Otti, has said that Abia State has all the potentials to favourably compete in the comity of progressive and prosperous States.
In his special message of goodwill and felicitations on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the State, Otti said there was need to pause, ponder and purge the State of those vices that have become albatross in its quest to attain greatness.
According to a release signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the LP ‘s candidate, Ferdinand Ekeoma, the ex bank Chief said:
“It’s gratifying to note that in spite of the daunting challenges confronting the people since the creation of the state 31 years ago, Abians of all walks of life have shown rare audacity and great determination to collectively forge ahead as one people in their quest to herald a democratic, peaceful, and economically prosperous state, which would reflect the vision of the founding fathers of the State”
The Labour Party governorship hopeful reminded Abians that the 31st anniversary celebration which precedes the very crucial 2023 election provides Abians with yet another opportunity for sober reflection and sincere appraisal of their challenges as a people, as well as an opportunity to fearlessly and fiercely confront and defeat the vices of bad leadership which breeds mediocrity, failure and underdevelopment.
