A former lawmaker that represented the Asari-Toru/Akuku Toru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Dawari Ibietela George has resigned his membership of the party.
George, who was a former Commissioner of Petroleum in the administration of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, said in his resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of APC, Ward 1, Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State, that he was tired of of running round stadium without result.
His resignation letter, posted on Facebook, reads in part:
“I wish to resign my membership of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“May I also thank the leadership of the party and all her members for the opportunity and support given to serve the state and the country in different capacities during my time in the party.
“I will always cherish the friendship and brotherhood which enforced our camaraderie in the party.
“The truth is that I am tired of RUNNING ROUND STADIUM without result.”
