Catholic Diocese Prohibits Members From Attending Father Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry Until Further Notice

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu has prohibited its members from attending all religious and liturgical activities of the Catholic Adoration Ministry until further notice.

It should be recalled that Father Camilus Ejike Mbaka has been involved in making political utterances that have pitched him against many recently. He had described the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi as too stingy.

Mbaka has apologised to Obi for his utterances.

In a letter addressed to all Clergy, Religious and Lay faithful in the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, dated June 17, 2022 and signed by the Bishop of the Diocese, Callistus Onaga, the decision was necessitated by the fact that some of the teachings and utterances of Mbaka were not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church.
