The National Coordinator of Northern Young Professionals for Tinubu, Abdullahi Tanko Yakassai has disclosed that the fact that the majority of Northerners are Moslems make it very tempting for the All Progressives Congress, APC, to field a moslem as a running mate to its presidential flag-bearer.
In an interview with the Arise Television on Tuesday, Yakassai said the most important consideration was for the APC to present a Vice Presidential candidate who has the capacity and acceptability to make it possible to the 2023 general elections.
Yakasai, who alleged that a Moslem – Moslem ticket was being made an issue by the opposition, said the politics of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu was beyond religion.
He said, “who can give us that vote that will keep APC in power is very important to us.”
“Let us not allow social media warriors to continue to give us narratives that will divide this country”, he advised.
