The All Progressives Congress, APC Committee set up to screen aspirants for various political offices, yesterday, at Abuja, cleared Dr. Kasarachi Enyinna to contest for the Abia South Senatorial seat in the 2023 general elections.
Speaking after the clearance, Dr. Enyinna said the stage has been set to activate all the machineries already put in place to realise his ambition of recovering the Senatorial seat for his people of Ukwa, who he said has been denied the opportunity for the past 15 years.
He appealed to APC members in Abia South to allow the motto of the party, which is Justice, Peace and Unity to guide them in their choice of who will fly the Senatorial flag of the party, pointing out that justice would mean supporting an Ukwa person to represent the Senatorial District in the red Chamber.
Dr. Enyinna, who initially was to run for Governorship was prevailed upon to vie for the Senate after series of consultations with leaders, chieftains, members and supporters of the APC, had assured that he would live up to the expectations of the people of Abia South if elected.
