The Secretary-General of the Asa Development Union, ADU, in Abia State, Dr. Gabriel Ik Ajuzieogu, has declared his interest to contest for the House of Representatives position on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to represent Ukwa East/ Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.

Declaring open his intention at the Obokwe Ward in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, Ajuzieogu said he was motivated by the zeal to give his Federal Constituency the kind of quality representation it deserves to indicate interest to serve them.

He said he has been working for the growth and development of Ukwa West for many years, adding that he was convinced that his experiences in both the public and private lives have prepared him to change the narratives in terms of effective representation for the Constituency.

Ajuzieogu, who is a graduate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, said he tried as much as possible to use the umbrella of the socio-cultural organisation to advance the interests of Ukwa people.

He recalled that while he handled the Special Public Works Programme of the Federal Government in Ukwa, he ensured that he maintained fairness, equity and justice in the recruitment of workers for the exercise, stressing that he would pursue vigorously the aspirations of the youths, women and the handicapped in Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency.

Ajuzieogu bemoaned the infrastructural decay in Ukwa Land and assured that his people would witness massive dividends of democracy if given the opportunity to serve.
