A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sir Marc Wabara on Friday, played host to some critical stakeholders of the party in Ukwa East and Ukwa West at his country home, Ohamblele in Ukwa East Local Government Area.
Speaking during the meeting, which attracted key party members in the Federal Constituency, Wabara said that he considered it very necessary to brief members of his Constituency on the developments in the party before and after the National Congress.
He reiterated the fact that it was impossible for the APC to win the elections in 2023 if all and sundry in the party did not come together as one, adding that it had become imperative for everyone to buy into the vision of the leadership of the party at the Centre.
He recalled that some members of the party in Abia State had been working at cross purposes for a long time resulting in a loss of the focus of an opposition party which is to wrestle power from the incumbent.
Wabara said the time had come for the party members to bury whatever grievances they had against one another and concentrate on how to take over the State from the PDP.
He emphasized the supremacy of party decisions and dangers inherent in swimming against the tide, stressing that no individual can go it alone as far as politics is concerned.
Wabara, therefore, appealed to the Stakeholders to embrace the new structure of the Abia State APC authenticated by the Party Headquarters.
Some of the Stakeholders who spoke thanked Wabara for always carrying along members of the party and pledged to work with him at all times.
