Former Nigerian Minister of Works during the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo and a frontline Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, has disclosed that his support for one of the Presidential aspirants for 2023 election, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was in intact.

He said that it was important for all aspirants to begin to tell Nigerians directly what they can do for the country instead of speaking from proxies.

In an interview with an International Television station, Arise TV on Friday, Ogunlewe stated that the desire of Tinubu was to continue with the policies and programmes of President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that as an insider for a long time, Tinubu would not derail the achievements of the current administration.

The Senator told other aspirants:

“Come out and show what you have for Nigerians”.

He said Tinubu has been consulting widely preparatory to the commencement of campaigns for the ticket of the APC.

Ogunlewe expressed the view that the APC should not micro-zone the Presidential ticket, as according to him, “micro-zoning will destroy the APC”.

He said the contest should be left open for all aspirants in Southern Nigeria, adding that it was what the aspirants could offer that would determine their fate in the game.
