As women are celebrated all over the world today, March 8, a former member of the National Assembly and frontline leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, has decried the continued marginalisation of the female gender all over the world, especially in the politics of Nigeria.
Nwaogu, who disclosed this in a press release through her Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Victor Kelechi Onyendi, said Nigeria women have proved themselves and also set unassailable track records in their various areas of endeavours.
On the bill for the Affirmative action for women in political party administration which was rejected by the National Assembly, Nwaogu said it was a clear evidence of the unjust, unfair and biased treatment meted out to women over the years, adding that the National Assembly needed to reconsider its position on the bill.
