Relief seems to be on the way for electricity consumers in Nigeria as the Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy Agba, has assured all houses would be metered by the end of the year.
The minister, who spoke at a town hall meeting organised by the Ministry of Information and Culture on Tuesday in Abuja, said 85percent of citizens would have access to electricity by the end of the year.
The town hall meeting was organised to showcase the achievements of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
According to the Minister, “By the end of the year, 85 percent of Nigerians will have electricity. Also, all the houses will be metered. You will only pay for what you consume.”
Agba also said many of the power projects started by the Federal Government will be completed before the end of the present adminstration.
