The Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, has identified areas he would give priority attention to if elected as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He said he would tackle bandits and terrorism, re-assess the issue of the commercialisation of electricity, and restore the confidence of Nigerians in themselves so that they can be proud of carrying Nigeria passport, adding that he would reconnect Nigerians to the world.
In an interview with Chanels Television, the former Governor stated that he death with the issue of insecurity in Abia State when he was Governor, stressing that it was during his tenure that Bakassi was created. He said he also assisted Anambra State in the area of security, particularly in Onitsha and Nnewi.
On how he intended to vie against the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu in terms of financial muscle, he said money was not the most critical issue but the Nigerian people, adding that money would also not be a challenge to his ambition.
Orji Kalu, who is aspiring for the number one political seat in Nigeria, disclosed that he had become very rich before becoming a Governor said the most glorious thing that happened to him was spending some months in jail, as it brought him to the lowest ebbs of life.
He maintained that he is not corrupt but was sent to jail by his detractors.
On zoning, he appealed to the other geo-political zones to see reasons with the South East, stressing that it is a Godly thing to do.
