The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, on Tuesday, at Obehie in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, performed the official ground-breaking ceremony of Asa multi-purpose plaza, a major development project initiated by the Ukwa West Mayor, Pst. Dike Nwankwo.
In a press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Mayor of Ukwa West, Rev. Johnson Ihunanya Nwosu, dated October 7, 2025, the Governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Pst. Caleb Ajagba, stated that the project aligns with Otti’s transformative agenda for Abia State.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said, “this project will not only transform the commercial landscape of Asa, but also creates jobs and stimulate local trade for our people.”
